The prestigious British newspaper The Sun has chosen Palma as one of the 21 city break destinations for 2021. The Majorcan capital, along with Madrid, is the only Spanish city that appears on the list published by this media outlet.

The Councillor for Tourism, Health and Consumer Affairs of the Palma Town Hall, Elena Navarro, highlighted in a press release the growing media coverage of the city of Palma in England and pointed out that “articles of this type not only recognise and value the more modern and cosmopolitan image of Palma as an urban destination, but also generate a very positive impact on trips to the city”.

Navarro also valued this recognition very positively: “this is excellent news for our city and, without a doubt, it comes at a good time that makes us very happy and optimistic”.

The information published in The Sun is the result of the work carried out by the Fundació Turisme Palma 365 in the British market in terms of communication and public relations, with the aim of positioning our city as an urban destination throughout the year. Along the same lines, it is worth remembering that the Fundació Turisme works with the media agencies of the three main issuing markets: Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.

From Mallorca Caprice we congratulate this recognition.
