From 10:30 am to 5 pm Palma City Council has programmed a whole series of activities to celebrate the traditional Diumenge de l’Àngel. The EMT will provide a free shuttle bus service

The activities of the Diumenge de l’Àngel on the 16th of April will begin at 11 am with the ascent from the gates of Bellver Castle accompanied by the ‘xeremiers’ of Palma and the welcome to the ‘marxaires’ with the ‘plantada’ of the giants of Son Rapinya, Son Cladera, Son Espanyolet, the Obra Cultural Balear, ‘capgrossos’ des Molí des Rafal- Vivero, Rafal Vell, and of the Drac de na Coca at the Castell.Diumenge de l'Àngel 2023

Programmed activities

A whole series of activities are scheduled until 5 p.m., including exhibitions, chess tournaments, historical monologues about the castle, line dancing, a concert by the Son Dameto choir and folk dancing, among others.

Children’s activities include the Circ Bover show “I am your guardian angel”, children’s games, a slingshot demonstration, etc.

The activities are divided into six different areas: the area in front of the Castell, the Castell grounds, the inner courtyard, the car park esplanade, the stage on the car park esplanade and the Palma local police station.

At 1.30 p.m., the traditional ‘paseo del Ángel’ will take place, which will start and end at the Castell steps.

Free bus to go up to the Castell

The Municipal Transport Company will provide a free shuttle bus service to go up to the Castell. It will run every 10 minutes approximately, from 10:30 am to 5 pm. It will leave from Calle Camilo José Cela.
