On Saturday 25th May, Colònia de Sant Jordi will host the 12th edition of the Mallorca Olympic Triathlon, a challenging event in which athletes from all over the world will take part. A 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride and a 10 km run through the town of Las Salinas will test the physical and mental endurance of the athletes who register for the Mallorca Olympic Triathlon 2024, for which a demanding circuit has been designed.

There is only one week left for registration to close for this sporting event, which is expected to attract hundreds of participants as in previous editions. The online registration process will close at 21:00 on 21 May. Volunteer recruitment for the event is also still underway.

Prices

For those federated with the FETRIB (Balearic Triathlon Federation) the registration fee, according to the organisation’s website, is €70, while for members of the Spanish Triathlon Federation the price is €75.

Non-federated athletes will have to pay €82 (insurance included), while the price for relays (1 participant) is €120. A 25 % discount will be applied to teams of more than 10 persons and 10 % to teams of 6 to 10 persons (must be from the same team).

Entries include timing, chip, welcome bag, finisher’s medal and T-shirt.

Timetables

Friday 24 May

  • 11:00 h. Meeting at the Best Centre Sports and reconnaissance of the cycling circuit.
    11:00 – 14:00 h. Free swimming in the Best Centre Sports pool (only for registered athletes).
    14:00 – 17:00 h. Collection of bib number, chip and welcome bag. Last registrations.
    17:30 h. Technical meeting and briefing at the Civic Centre (entrance C/ Dr. Barraquer).

 

Saturday 25 May – Test Day

  • 7:30 – 9:00 h. Collection of bib number, chip and welcome bag. Also, the wetsuit if you have rented it. Place: Port of Colònia de Sant Jordi.
  • 8:00 – 9:45 h. Open transition area to leave the bike. Participants must go to the starting area on the beach.
  • 9:45 h. Report to the judges by the participants.
  • 10:00 h. Start of the race.
  • 11:45 h. Estimated time of arrival of the first finishers. Massage, food and drink at the finish area.
  • 13:30 h. Closing of the race.
  • 13:30 h. – 14:00 h. Prize-giving ceremony and paella for all participants in the Port.
