The Bunyola Underwear Race 2022 is warming up for its celebration this Saturday 17th September. After two years without being able to be held due to the pandemic, Bunyola is in the midst of celebrating its Sant Mateu 2022 festivities. And one of the highlights is the popular underwear race. The event is eagerly awaited by both local residents and citizens from the rest of the island.
Bunyola Underwear Race 2022
At 5:00 pm on Saturday the 17th, participants will gather in Bunyola square. At 18:30 the opening speech and the start of the underwear race will take place. The municipality has set up bars with beer and soft drinks, as well as a new commemorative cup for the event.
Once the eagerly awaited Bunyola Underwear Race 2022 is over, the party continues. At 23:55, the Revetlla is scheduled in Bunyola square with music by Feeling Band, PD Mestre Antoni Garriguel-lo and PD FastoFurioso.
The programme of the Sant Mateu festivities in Bunyola continues with activities until the 25th of September. On Wednesday the 21st, the day of Sant Mateu, the municipality will experience its big day with music, popular games and, to close the day, a fireworks display.

The decoration of the square in Bunyola has been chosen in the colour hope green. According to the town hall, it symbolises the desire to get out of the COVID-19 pandemic for good.
