The board of directors of the Societat Municipal d’Aparcaments (SMAP) approved last September 14 a maximum daily rate of five euros in the parking lots located in Manacor street, Parc de sa Riera and Plaça Santa Pagesa, which came into force yesterday. This has been communicated by the City Council of Palma in a press release.
This rate reduction means a saving of up to 10 euros per day for those users who use the parking for a day in these three facilities.
Thus, the rates for one day, which until now had a price of 15 euros per day, cost from today five euros per day. This is a reduction of up to 66% that aims to offer affordable prices in peripheral parking lots and encourage travel on foot, by bicycle, BiciPalma or through the bus lines of the EMT Palma to the city center.
5 euros from the fourth hour of stay in the municipal parking lots
The rotation rate of these three peripheral parking lots remains at 1.300581 euros per hour. Thus, people who stay in the parking lots of Manacor street, Plaça Santa Pagesa and Parc de sa Riera for more than four hours a day will pay a maximum daily rate of 5 euros from the fourth hour of stay in these three facilities.
The SMAP has signaled the new rate in these three facilities.
