Forbes has published a list of the richest women in Spain, including several Balearic women. In its report, the publication notes that the gender gap also exists in the country’s great fortunes. The 75 richest men have a total of 116.4 billion, or an average of 1.55 billion. On the other hand, the 75 richest women in Spain have properties and investments valued at 37.45 billion euros. This means an average wealth of 500 million per head.

Richest women in the Balearic Islands

  • At the top of the list is Carmen Riu, of the Riu Group, with 700 million euros.
  • In 35th place is Isabel García Lorca, of Grupo Piñero, Soltour, with 300 million euros.
  • Leonor March Delgado, of Banca March and Corporación Financiera Alba, is in 43rd position with 275 million euros.
  • She is followed ten places lower in the national ranking by Gloria March Delgado, also from Banca March and Corporación Financiera Alba, with 200 million euros.
  • Finally, in 75th position, Antonia Barceló Tous, from Grupo Barceló, with 75 million euros.
