The Festival Internacional de Teatre de Teresetes de Mallorca has been a key reference point for the island’s creative and cultural industry since its creation in 1999. The current edition celebrates its 25th anniversary. Its main objective is to promote and disseminate the latest and most representative stage proposals in the genre of puppetry, objects, shadows, movement and associated arts. Its programme recovers the traditions as well as the avant-garde works of international, national and Balearic productions.

An annual event, every third week of May, is a festival of theatre with performances in many different venues. The festival promotes a presence in the street and at the same time programmes a whole series of parallel activities that enrich the experience and promote networking. It also highlights the professional side for companies, actors, programmers, institutions and students with the Professional Conferences; the social side with the ‘Teresetes’ Social action; the educational side, with specialised courses and talks; and the participative side with the ‘Punt teresetes’.
