Palma will celebrate the Festes de la Patrona 2026 (Patron Saint Festivities 2026) from 4 to 8 September, dedicated to the Mare de Déu de la Salut (Our Lady of Health), the city’s patron saint. The programme will combine children’s activities, music, an open-air party, the major Patrona concert and traditional events associated with the festivities.

All activities will be free of charge and will take place mainly at Parc de sa Feixina, around Parc de la Mar and at the Basílica de Sant Miquel (Basilica of Sant Miquel).
Palma’s Festes de la Patrona 2026 will begin on Friday 4 September with an afternoon dedicated to children and an open-air party that will continue into the early hours. The following day will feature one of the main highlights of the programme: the major Patrona concert, headlined this year by John Newman and Rudimental DJ. Special trains for Palma’s Festes de la Patrona 2026
Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will reinforce train services during Palma’s Festes de la Patrona 2026 to make it easier to travel to the major concert on Saturday 5 September at Parc de la Mar. In addition to regular services, extra trains will run during the afternoon, with overnight connections from Saturday into Sunday.
Extra trains on Saturday 5 September
SFM will add 12 additional services between Palma and Inca, six in each direction:
- Inca → Palma: additional trains between 17:43 and 20:13.
- Palma → Inca: additional trains between 16:55 and 19:25.
Overnight trains from Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 September
There will be 14 special services on the different routes in both directions:
- Palma → Manacor: 00:15, 02:15 and 04:15.
- Manacor → Palma: 23:30, 01:30 and 03:30.
- Palma → Sa Pobla: 23:25 and 03:15.
- Sa Pobla → Palma: 00:04, 02:45 and 04:45.
- Palma → Inca: 23:00.
- Inca → Palma: 23:48.
All special trains will stop at every intermediate station between their point of departure and destination.
Programme for Palma’s Festes de la Patrona 2026
Friday 4 September – Parc de sa Feixina
- 18:00 to 20:00 – Children’s activities. Musical entertainment, games and circus workshops, and a magic show.
- 20:00 to 02:00 – Open-air party. Live music and performances by DJs Jaume Colombàs, Tommy, Miki Buades and Robert. The event will also raise funds for Colombian and Venezuelan communities affected by the earthquakes.
Saturday 5 September – Parc de la Mar and Passeig Marítim
- 19:00 to 02:00 – Major Patrona concert. The line-up will be headlined by John Newman and Rudimental DJ, joined by Freenipples, Lady Gosya, Álex Losa and Isaac Indart.
Monday 7 September – Basílica de Sant Miquel
- 18:30 – Gathering for the Ofrenda Floral (Floral Offering). The meeting point for those taking part in the procession will be Plaça del Bisbe Berenguer de Palou.
- 19:00 – Ofrenda Floral to the Mare de Déu de la Salut. The traditional offering will take place at the Basílica de Sant Miquel.
Tuesday 8 September – Basílica de Sant Miquel
- 19:00 – Solemn mass. The mass marking the feast day of the Mare de Déu de la Salut will bring the festivities to a close.
A celebration revived in 2023
The more traditional side of the festivities will take place on 7 and 8 September. The Basílica de Sant Miquel will host the Ofrenda Floral, followed the next day by the solemn mass in honour of the Mare de Déu de la Salut.
The festivities originated in the parish of Sant Miquel, where devotion to Palma’s patron saint remained deeply rooted for decades. After being discontinued for several years, the celebration was revived in 2023.
Since then, Palma City Council and the Federació de Veïnats de Sa Ciutat de Palma (Federation of Neighbourhood Associations of Palma) have been working to strengthen the festivities and restore their place in the city’s festive calendar.
