The Fira del Caragol 2026 (Snail Fair 2026) will turn the village of Sant Jordi, in Palma, into a major gastronomic, festive and recreational setting this Sunday, 17 May, centred on one of the most representative products in Mallorcan cuisine. The 24th edition of the event will bring together tastings, live music, a traditional market, exhibitions and popular activities throughout the weekend, organised by the Fira del Caragol association with the collaboration of institutions, organisations and businesses.

The programme will begin on Friday, 15 May with a wine tasting featuring wineries with designation of origin and a live performance by the Sant Jordi duo Two M’s.

On Saturday, the activities will continue with the Nit Gastronòmica Caragolera, featuring a snail tasting in Plaça de Sant Jordi and a concert of jazz, boleros and classic film music by Elisabet Garau and her group.

Sunday, the main day of the Fira del Caragol 2026 in Sant Jordi

Sunday will bring together the main activities of the Fira del Caragol 2026 in Sant Jordi, Palma. At 9:00 a.m., the parade by the xeremiers of Sant Jordi will begin and, half an hour later, the snail stalls set up by the organising association, Fira del Caragol, and several producers and establishments will open, including Colla Caragolera, Caragols de Muro, Caragols Son Pou, Caragol Bover, Caragols Son Pieras, Ascaib, Can Quirante and Cafè de sa Plaça.

The fair will also include stalls selling traditional agri-food products, crafts, fashion, accessories, costume jewellery, books and collectors’ items.

Showcooking, exhibitions and a giant ensaimada

Among the highlights is the showcooking organised by Ascaib between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with the participation of chefs Metus Mustafa Demir and Javier Veiga.

The Forn de Can Coll will also display a giant ensaimada measuring two metres in diameter outside the bakery.

The programme will also include a painting exhibition organised by the Club de Gent Gran de Sant Jordi i Casablanca and a classic motorbike display.

Popular dancing and corredrac to close the fair

The day will come to a close in the afternoon with popular dancing and the traditional corredrac, which will pass through the streets and squares of Sant Jordi with the Guardians del Drac.

The organisers have reported that visitors travelling to Sant Jordi by car will have access to a large car park set up at the entrance to the village.
