The Plaça del Tub will become the focal point for collecting in Palma this Saturday, 9 May, with the celebration of the Great Palma Collecting Fair, an event that will bring together enthusiasts, curious visitors and families throughout the day around all kinds of objects linked to culture, history and leisure.
The fair, organised by the Associació de Multicol·leccionisme de les Illes Balears with the sponsorship and support of Palma City Council, will take place from 10:00 to 20:00 and will feature numerous stalls specialising in collectors’ items. Visitors will find books, toys, stamps, posters, records, films and a wide variety of pieces aimed both at experienced collectors and at those simply looking to discover this world.

The Great Palma Collecting Fair, an event for enthusiasts and families
The Great Palma Collecting Fair has been presented by the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Fairs and Markets, Llorenç Bauzá de Keizer, accompanied by Isidoro Iglesias and Xisco Fernández, from the organisation Somlowcostcultura and promoters of the initiative, as well as the Director General for Fairs and Markets, María del Carmen Esparza.
During his speech, Bauzá de Keizer has highlighted that the fair “will make a powerful contribution to energising a sector, collecting, which is linked to many different areas”, including culture, history and heritage.
The councillor has also underlined the open and cross-cutting nature of the Great Palma Collecting Fair, aimed at “people of all ages, families, young people and older people”, and has expressed his hope that the event can become, in future editions, “a point of reference in the world of collecting”.
The event therefore seeks to turn the Plaça del Tub into a meeting place for lovers of vintage objects, historical pieces and hard-to-find items, in a day that will combine leisure, cultural exchange and a passion for collecting.
