Blue Flags in Mallorca 2026

Mallorca will have a total of 22 Blue Flag beaches in 2026, spread across 11 municipalities on the island. Among them, Cala Major, in Palma, and Es Port-Es Dolç, in Ses Salines, regain the distinction this year.

The Blue Flag, awarded by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (Adeac), recognises compliance with demanding criteria in water quality, environmental management, safety, services, information and environmental education.

Blue Flags in Mallorca 2026

The beaches in Mallorca awarded a Blue Flag in 2026 are as follows:

  • Alcúdia: Alcúdia
  • Andratx: Sant Elm
  • Felanitx: Cala Marçal, Cala Sa Nau and Porto Colom (Platja S’Arenal)
  • Muro: Muro
  • Palma: Cala Estància, Cala Major and Ciutat Jardí
  • Pollença: Cala Barques, Cala Molins and Formentor
  • Sant Llorenç des Cardassar: Cala Millor (Cala Nau) and Sa Coma
  • Santa Margalida: Can Picafort, Son Bauló and Son Serra
  • Santanyí: Cala Mondragó (Sa Font de n’Alís) and S’Amarador
  • Ses Salines: Es Port-Es Dolç
  • Son Servera: Cala Millor and Es Ribell

In addition to its beaches, Mallorca has been awarded 11 Blue Flags for ports and nautical facilities this year:

  • Alcúdia: Alcúdia Mar Puerto Turístico Deportivo
  • Andratx: Marina Port Andratx
  • Felanitx: Porto Colom
  • Llucmajor: Club Nàutic S’Arenal
  • Manacor: Club Nàutic Porto Cristo
  • Palma: Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, Marina Port de Mallorca and Real Club Náutico de Palma
  • Santanyí: Port de Cala Figuera
  • Ses Salines: Port de la Colònia de Sant Jordi
  • Sóller: Port de Sóller

Blue Flags in the Balearic Islands in 2026

Across the archipelago as a whole, the Balearic Islands have a total of 33 Blue Flag beaches this year, spread across 15 municipalities. Mallorca accounts for 22 of them, while Ibiza has seven and Menorca four.

In Menorca, the four recognised beaches are Cala En Porter and Son Bou, in Alaior, as well as Binibeca Nou and Punta Prima, in Sant Lluís. The Port of Ciutadella has also been awarded a Blue Flag.

Ibiza, meanwhile, has seven Blue Flag beaches this year: Cala Benirrás, Cala Sant Vicent and Port de Sant Miquel, in Sant Joan de Labritja; and Santa Eulària, Cala Llenya, Es Canar and Es Figueral, in Santa Eulària des Riu. The island’s Club Nàutic Sant Antoni and Marina Ibiza have also been recognised.

In total, the Balearic Islands have 14 Blue Flags for ports and yacht clubs this year, the same figure as in 2025.

Spain once again leads the world ranking for Blue Flags

At national level, Spain once again leads the world ranking for Blue Flags in 2026, reaching a record 677 award-winning beaches, 35 more than the previous year. In addition, 111 distinctions have been awarded to marinas and six to tourist boats.
