The Health Service has launched a new web portal that makes it possible to streamline all citizen procedures related to COVID-19 and process sick leave from home. The new portal —which was presented today by the healthcare director of the Health Service, Eugènia Carandell— will allow access to health advice on COVID-19 and make an appointment to perform a diagnostic test.

The website is based on four items in relation to the person’s situation:

-If you have symptoms compatible with COVID-19.

-If you have a diagnostic test with a positive result.

-If you have been in contact with a person with COVID-19 and do not have symptoms.

-If you have a diagnostic test with a negative result. Depending on the situation, the person will receive the corresponding health advice in all cases.

In addition, it will allow you to request a diagnostic test on the chosen day and place, and you will be able, in the event that the test is positive, to send a message to all possible close contacts so that they can also make an appointment to have the diagnostic test done.

In the event of being considered a vulnerable person, the affected person may request that a health professional, by telephone, monitor them and evaluate their clinical situation. Finally, in the event that the result of the diagnostic test is positive, the person concerned may request sick leave directly and will receive an email with the health certificate to present to the company.

This website joins the different tools that the Health Service of the Balearic Islands has launched throughout the pandemic to facilitate procedures for the population and offer information. Some of these tools, in addition to the new management website, are BITCita to get an appointment to get vaccinated or the COVID viewer.
