King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia yesterday inaugurated the Llabrés pharmacy in Ciutadella, a property left to them by businessman Juan Ignacio Balada after his death in 2009.

Balada bequeathed 50% of his estate to the then Prince and Princess of Asturias and the King and Queen’s eight grandchildren, while the remaining 50% he wanted to allocate to the creation of a foundation of general interest. The Prince and Princess of Asturias decided that their share would be used entirely for social purposes, and so in 2010 the Hesperia Foundation was founded, which promotes social projects in Menorca.
