The Consell de Mallorca will install two giant screens in the square of Can Flor de Pòrtol, Marratxí, and in the civic center of Portocolom, Felanitx, so that citizens can follow live the final of the women’s soccer world cup to be played this Sunday at 12 noon in Australia

The Department of Sports of the Consell de Mallorca has financed the two giant screens that will be installed in the Can Flor de Pòrtol square and in the civic center of Portocolom to watch the final of the women’s World Cup. Marratxí and Felanitx are the two municipalities of origin of Cata Coll and Mariona Caldentey, respectively. The Spanish team will face the English team this Sunday at 12 noon, a match that will take place at the Accor Stadium in Sydney, Australia.

The executive councilor of Sports, Pedro Bestard, has assured that “this is a historic and unprecedented event. In Mallorca we are especially congratulated because Cata Coll and Mariona Caldentey are the first Mallorcans to qualify for the final of a world championship,” he celebrated, a milestone that highlights “sporting values such as effort, companionship and involvement that have to permeate among the public and the younger the better”.
