Cala Millor, Sa Coma and Colònia de Sant Jordi

In Cala Millor and Sa Coma this year 80% of the hotels will be up and running at the beginning of April, before Easter, according to Inès Batle, president of the hotel employers’ association in this area of Levante.

Bookings in the first hotels to open in Colònia de Sant Jordi are also progressing positively. The vast majority of shops remain closed and the first seasonal restaurants have only just opened their doors. This area of Mallorca receives mainly German and Nordic clients attracted by sports tourism and tranquillity. This is a very different profile to the one they have during the summer months, with sun and beach tourism. This is what the hoteliers in this tourist area say.

Port d’Alcúdia and Platja de Muro

In Port d’Alcúdia and Platja de Muro, the Mallorca 312 event and the May long weekend mean that hotel occupancy is at its highest in the last weeks of April and the beginning of May.

The evolution of inflation and the lack of qualified staff are the sector’s main concerns for this season. This has been stated by the Hotel Business Federation of Mallorca, FEHM. For this reason, hoteliers are already contacting hotel workers so that they can take up their posts in view of the early season.
