The Royal Family began its first day of official visits to the island yesterday, Monday 1 August. The King and Queen posed in Valldemossa, one of the most representative villages of the Serra de Tramuntana in Mallorca. The President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, accompanied Their Majesties the King and Queen, the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia yesterday afternoon at La Cartuja (La Cartoixa) and the Palau del Rei Sanç in Valldemossa.

Throughout this official visit, other local authorities were also present, such as the president of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, Vicença Thomàs; the delegate of the Government, Aina Calvo, and the mayor of Valldemossa, Nadal Torres.

The Royal Family began their official holidays in Mallorca with this cultural visit to Valldemossa, accompanied by the most important political representatives of the Balearic Islands, with whom they posed for the media.
