The King and Queen, accompanied by Queen Sofia, yesterday offered the traditional reception at the Marivent Palace to representatives of the different sectors and institutions of Balearic society. More than 500 people were invited, including the leading civilian and military authorities of the islands: from the autonomous community (Presidency, Councillor, Parliament, TSJ, Island Councils), the Government Delegate, mayors and municipal corporations, deputies and senators of the Spanish Parliament.
Also represented were the world of the University, the Ramón Llull 2023 Awards, representatives of the economic, business and trade union spheres, the Designations of Origin and Regulatory Councils, the tourism sector, Royal Academies and Professional Associations, representatives of culture, the arts, music, cinema, theatre, fashion, the Art Jove 2022 Awards, architecture, scientific and research fields, associations, organisations and social groups, media, health, University Excellence Awards and PBAU 2023, religious confessions, foundations, emergency services and civil protection, gastronomy and sports, including a representation of Mallorca Palma Futsal, champion team of the UEFA Champions League 2023 Futsal.
Catering for the reception was provided by Mallorcans Macarena and Daniel de Castro.
Queen Letizia has once again been praised for her look. On this occasion, she opted for a dress from the 2022 collection designed by Stella Jean for the Spanish firm Desigual. For her part, Queen Sofia chose a dress by Scada.
