This weekend the Palma Local Police carried out different operations in Ciutat de Palma. Among other actions, those related to road safety and controls of botellones in the Passeig Marítim and the industrial estates of Palma stand out

With regard to police actions over the weekend, different devices have been carried out aimed at ensuring road safety and controlling alcohol consumption in the street. This was reported by the Palma Town Hall (Ajuntament de Palma) in a press release.

Over the weekend, in the Passeig Marítim area of Palma, a breathalyser control was carried out in which a total of 42 tests were carried out. Of these, five were positive. Eleven reports were also issued for expired MOTs, one for reckless driving and driving the vehicle in the wrong direction, six for not wearing a seat belt, three for driving the vehicle with an expired licence, five for driving with a foreign licence that is not valid in Spain, as well as three vehicles withdrawn for driving with an alcohol level higher than the permitted one, among others.

As part of the anti-botellon device, the Palma Local Police carried out an operation in the industrial estates. The result was 42 reports, 26 of which were for binge drinking, five for possession of drugs, one for consumption of drugs, five for possession of objects for illegal actions, two reports for expired ITV and one report for damage to the public highway, among others.

In addition, the Local Police carried out different actions in favour of road safety and intervened in several accidents, as well as in other services throughout Palma, for gender violence, injuries, etc. and for the celebrations of the Champions League final.
