Which Sundays and public holidays will shops in Mallorca be open in 2024? The first session of the Inter-island Trade Advisory Commission, held in the presence of representatives of the four Balearic island councils and the sector’s trade unions and employers’ associations, has approved the proposed calendar for 2024 for the opening of shops on Sundays and public holidays for 2024. And it has done so by seeking maximum consensus between the parties.
As explained by the director general of Enterprise, the Self-Employed and Trade, José Antonio Caldés, “our priority objective is to give a voice and opinion to all the agents involved, listen to their reasoned proposals and seek the most beneficial agreement for all of them, from the perspective that the decisions taken must be beneficial for all commerce, not just for one part of it”.
