More than 400 students from schools in Mallorca are involved in this project, created to share with new generations the importance of caring for nature.

Tòfol Castanyer, an athlete born in Sóller and ambassador for NNormal, the brand founded by Kilian Jornet and Camper in 2022, is very clear that preserving nature is essential for new generations to continue enjoying it. For this reason
for this reason it has promoted the “Sa Llavor” project.

The Serra de Tramuntana takes centre stage in “Sa Llavor”

The main theme of the documentary, which features the landscapes of Mallorca, is the record for the double crossing of the Serra de Tramuntana (190 km) that Tòfol Castanyer set out to beat in October 2022. Tòfol tackled this ultra as he crossed towns such as Fornalutx, Pollença and Lluc. In these towns and on other stretches of his adventure, the athlete was accompanied by hundreds of students from schools in Mallorca, with whom he shared the importance of caring for this valuable Serra, which is so significant for those who have it close to them.

Tòfol Castanyer has been exploring nature through running for more than 30 years, and recently he has realised that the most important thing in all his challenges is not the goal, but the path and the environment they offer him. One of his most recent milestones is to climb 54 peaks in the Serra de Tramuntana in less than 30 hours, in order to raise awareness of the fragility and beauty of our environment.
