One of the most awaited novelties of this edition is the recovery of the Porto Cristo Night Race, which returns after a few years without taking place. Organised by the Porto Cristo Youth Association ‘Pescatruis’, the Night Run will take place next Thursday the 13th of July starting at 7pm. To participate in this race, you can already buy your t-shirts at the Porto Cristo municipal office, from 4.30 pm to 7 pm (4th, 6th, 10th and 12th) and from 10 am to 1 pm (8th of July), until stocks last.

Festes del Carme 2023 with many new features

This year’s celebrations have all the typical events of these dates, such as the Night Fair or the procession of the boats, the day of the Mare de Déu del Carme, amongst other outstanding activities which can be consulted in the programme.

The guided tours ‘Let’s get to know our town’ are also back, with the routes ‘The treasures of Porto Cristo: the patrimonial vestiges of the town’, led by Lourdes Melis; and ‘The Civil War in Porto Cristo. Memory of the disembarkation of Bayo and Franco’s repression’, by Maria Eugènia Jaume and Lourdes Melis.

The final of the ‘III Premi Ciutat de Manacor de Música de Autor Guillem d’Efak’, ‘Horabauxa’ and ‘Revetla’, concerts, theatre, castles, dance, sports and children’s activities complete the programme of festivities. The festivities will close with a huge fireworks display on Sunday 23rd July at 11.45pm, just after the ‘Correfoc’ by Manafoc which will light up Porto Cristo from 10.30pm.
