The Agrupación Empresarial de Agencias de Viajes de Baleares (Aviba) has elected this Thursday Pedro Fiol, head of the travel agency Alcudia Tours (Volar-e), as the new president of the association. In this way, Fiol will represent the business organisation for the next four years after being unanimously elected at Aviba’s general assembly.

This has been reported by the association of travel agencies in a press release.

The new head of Aviba thanked Xisco Mulet, outgoing president, and the board for their work and made himself available to all members of the association to “listen, discuss and join forces”. Fiol is the owner and sole partner of the travel agency Alcudia Tours, since 2006, a company with four offices in Alcúdia, Puerto de Alcúdia, Can Picafort and Pollença, and a total of 13 employees.

According to the Aviba communiqué, Fiol has 17 years of experience in the sector and faces the challenge of heading the association “with great enthusiasm, a great conviction of the importance of associationism and with the enthusiasm and interest in defending the interests of the agencies within the sector and before all public and private bodies”.
Pedro Fiol will be accompanied by Xisco Mulet, as vice-president, Juan González, as secretary, Pau Alemany, as treasurer, and the members Eduardo Zamorano and Pedro Iriondo. Bartolomé Serra will continue in the Ibiza delegation, and in Menorca, Lorenzo Pons.
