The Palma City Council will install a giant screen at Son Fusteret for the Spain-France match. Fans will be able to watch the World Cup semi-final this Tuesday, 14 July, from 9:00 pm. Admission will be free.
The venue will open its doors at 6:00 pm, three hours before kick-off. The event will allow fans to watch the match between Spain and France live in a shared atmosphere.
To ensure the safety of everyone attending, the City Council has designed a special security operation involving Local Police officers, emergency services and security staff. Sharp objects, glass containers, flares, cool boxes, aerosols or sprays, folding chairs, alcoholic drinks, balls or any object that could be thrown will not be allowed inside the venue.
Timetable for the giant screen showing Spain-France in Palma
Background music will be played before the match. In addition, DJ Jaume Colombás will perform a set between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
The planned schedule is as follows:
- 6:00 pm: doors open.
- 8:00 pm: DJ set by Jaume Colombás.
- 9:00 pm: Spain-France kicks off.
The semi-final will decide one of the teams that will compete in the World Cup final. Spain reached the match after beating Belgium in the quarter-finals, while France secured their place by defeating Morocco.
Additional EMT bus services
The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) will increase bus services connecting Son Fusteret with different parts of Palma. The aim is to make travel easier and ensure mobility before and after the match.
Palma’s EMT will therefore reinforce route L10 with a special shuttle bus service between Sindicat and Son Fusteret. The service will begin at 6:00 pm, with five articulated buses running continuously until kick-off.
Once the match has finished, the buses will wait for passengers at the 285-Son Fusteret stop and run continuously to plaça d’Espanya to make the journey home easier.
Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will also provide a special metro service for everyone wishing to attend the screening.
A total of 16 special services will operate in both directions between Son Fuster Vell station (Son Fusteret) and the Intermodal Station. Eight trains will depart from Son Fuster Vell between 11:15 pm and 12:25 am, running every ten minutes. In the opposite direction, another eight services will leave the Intermodal Station between 11:05 pm and 12:15 am, also at ten-minute intervals.
All trains will stop at Jacint Verdaguer and Son Costa/Son Fortesa.

Porto Pi and Sala Zero
In addition to the giant screen for Spain-France at Son Fusteret, Porto Pi Shopping Centre and Sala Zero, at Es Gremi, will also show the World Cup semi-final on a giant screen.
Porto Pi Shopping Centre will set up a Fan Zone where visitors can watch the match and enjoy live music, DJ sets, workshops and table football. Admission will be free.
Sala Zero, meanwhile, offers air conditioning and seating, making it a more comfortable alternative for those who prefer to watch the match indoors. Admission is free, although tickets must be downloaded in advance to secure a place.
If Spain qualifies for the final, the evening will continue with an after-party featuring DJ Jaume Colombás.
