It will be in the plenary session tomorrow Tuesday when the City Council will make official the appointment of the soccer player from Pòrtol, Cata Coll, world champion in Australia, as Illustrious Daughter of the municipality. The title will be for her sporting merits

In the plenary session to be held next Tuesday, at 19.30 pm, and prior declaration of urgency, the City Council of Marratxí will award the title of ‘Filla il-lustre de Marratxí’ to the ‘portolana’ Cata Coll. It will be in recognition of her sporting achievements. Coll is the current goalkeeper of the Spanish national team and Futbol Club Barcelona and has recently increased her record with the title in the World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand.

Four motions will be debated in the plenary session, one of them from the PSOE, condemning the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, for his behavior during the World Cup final against England, last August 20. Among which reference is made to the obscene gestures he made from the stadium box and the non-consensual kiss to the player Jenni Hermoso.
