Cycling, hiking, golf, water sports and major competitions consolidate the municipality as one of Mallorca’s most complete sports destinations.

Alcúdia brings together some of the qualities most valued by those who travel to Mallorca to practise sport: nature, good transport links, adapted infrastructure and a diverse geography that allows visitors to train by the sea, explore inland routes or take on mountain trails.
Its location, between the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença, makes the municipality a privileged setting for enjoying outdoor sport all year round.
Cycling is one of its great benchmarks. Routes for all levels start from Alcúdia, with itineraries linking the coast with the interior and some of Mallorca’s great cycling landscapes. Routes towards Formentor, Lluc, Artà or Puig Major allow the experience to be adapted both to cycle tourists and high-performance athletes. This is complemented by a specialised hotel offering, with bicycle garages, workshops, swimming pools, sports menus and flexible timetables.
The sea opens up another range of possibilities. Alcúdia beach offers activities such as paddle surfing, jet skiing, flyboarding, parasailing and boat trips, while Can Cap de Bou, in the Bay of Pollença, is a highly valued area for kitesurfing, windsurfing and wind-powered water sports.

The Alcudiamar marina reinforces this connection with the Mediterranean, with modern facilities, nautical services, restaurants, sailing courses and spaces to enjoy the harbour. It also hosts well-established events such as the Regata Solidaria Trofeu Alcudiamar-Projecte Home Balears.
The inland natural environment completes the offering. Alcúdia boasts hiking and cycling routes through mountain areas, pine forests, rural paths and protected spaces. The Ermita de la Victòria, Talaia d’Alcúdia, Coll Baix, Alcanada, Puig de Sant Martí and s’Albufera allow visitors to discover different landscapes, always with the Mediterranean as a backdrop.

Golf finds a unique setting in the municipality. Golf Alcanada, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., combines sporting quality, panoramic views over the bay and an exceptional location next to the islet of Alcanada.
All this explains why Alcúdia hosts such renowned events as the Zafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca, the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca, mountain races, open-water swimming events, swimrun competitions, veteran volleyball and golf tournaments.

In 2026, the Club de Golf Alcanada will also host the Rolex Grand Final of the HotelPlanner Tour from 29 October to 1 November, a decisive event for promotion to the DP World Tour.
More than a summer destination, Alcúdia stands out as the island’s epicentre for experiencing sport all year round.
