The Zafiro Palma Marathon 2022 will take place on Sunday the 9th of October. Registration is now closed, and according to the organisers, 1,000 more runners will take part in 2022 than in the last edition, reaching around 6,000 registered runners. All of them will enjoy a route that crosses some of the most emblematic places of the city. From the Paseo Marítimo to the Cathedral, passing through the historic centre.

Sunday, therefore, will be a complicated day for traffic restrictions due to the celebration of the Zafiro Palma Marathon 2022. This race is divided into three distances: 9 kilometres, half marathon and marathon.

Sunday 9

  • 7:00 a 8:00. Collection of numbers for 10Km.
  • 8:00. Start Palma Marathon 2022.
  • 8:15. Start Half Marathon Palma 2022.
  • 8:45. Start 10Km.
  • 8:00 a 14:00. Expo.
  • 11:30. Awards for 10Km and Half Marathon.
  • 12:00. Awards for Marathon.
  • 14:00. Goal Closure.
  • 19:00. Post-event party at Mega Park Palma Beach.

Traffic restrictions for the 2022 marathon

The celebration of the Zafiro Marathon Palma 2022 will bring with it important traffic restrictions on Sunday 9th October. They will mainly affect the central area and the Paseo Marítimo. For this reason, the local police are recommending the use of the ring road. In addition, a telephone number 900710092 has been set up to deal with queries from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 16:00, Saturday from 8:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 8:00 to 15:00.

  • 1:00. Antoni Maura from Plaza de la Reina.
  • 6:30. Paseo Marítimo-Avenida Argentina, going to airport.
  • 7:30. Porto Pi roundabout towards the airport.
  • 8:00. Total closure of the circuit (west and central areas).
