The island’s delegation begins today, Tuesday, an intense agenda at the ITB Berlin fair in its first face-to-face edition since 2019 because of the pandemic

More than 150 people have participated in the promotional event, ‘Mallorca, 365 days of culinary delights’, organized by Tourism the day before the opening of the most important tourism fair in Germany: ITB Berlin. In this way, the professional and institutional presence of Mallorca meets again with the most important issuing market for the island’s tourism industry.

The attendance has counted with a large representation of the sister tourism network, with representatives of more than 100 companies and agencies, such as FTI, DRV or Eurowings, among others. An important number of journalists representing media such as Welt, DPA, European News Agency, Presse Berlin News Agency or Zeit, among others, have also attended.

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, welcomed the attendees, highlighting the important weight that the gastronomic product is gaining in terms of the most demanded tourist proposals by visitors.

Two are also the messages that the Mallorcan delegation will spread during these days in Berlin: the commitment to continue with the sustainable transition, and the condition of tourist destination all year round.
