The sportsman from Manacor Rafa Nadal has announced that he is retiring for a while: “I’m taking a break. I’m not setting a return date. Next year will be the last of my career,” he said.

The tennis player winner of 22 Grand Slam has set a date for his retirement, which has marked in 2024, and has announced a temporary stop in order to recover and prepare with guarantees his last season. He has done so in a press conference at his Academy in Manacor.

In addition, Nadal has confirmed that he will not play the Roland Garros tournament this year. The ‘manacorí’ has also set a date for his retirement. Rafel Nadal expects the 2024 to be his last season and in order to face it with strength and guarantees has decided to stop for a while to recover physically.

‘I don’t deserve to finish like this’, says Nadal when he argues the reasons that lead him to stop temporarily with the aim of enjoying his last season as a professional tennis player. He says that he will stop training and does not set a return date, although he establishes the Davis Cup at the end of the year as a first return date.
