ECO-ONE, a leading startup in hotel sustainability in Spain, and Palladium Hotel Group have organized in Ibiza the first working table included in the conference on hotel sustainability in the Balearic Islands 2023.

The main agents of the sector in Ibiza, who have participated in the conference on hotel sustainability in the Balearic Islands 2023, have shared different topics related to the current situation of hotel sustainability, referring to issues such as energy efficiency, water saving, circular economy, waste management and sustainable interior design, among others.

The round table was held at Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa and was attended by Juan Miguel Costa, island director of Tourism Promotion; Francisco Ferrer Tur, deputy director of the AETIB; Manuel Sendino, manager of the Hotel Business Federation of Ibiza and Formentera; Gloria Juste, from Palladium Hotel Group; Marc Rahola Matutes, from OD Group; Roberto González, from Vibra Hotels; Alvar Lipszyc, from Hacienda Na Xamena; Matthieu Thiam, from Intercorp; Raquel Andreu, from Aguas de Ibiza; Marta Cardoso, from Six Senses and Paola Sastre, from Sirenis Hotels & Resorts.

The island’s Director of Tourism Promotion, Juan Miguel Costa, was in charge of opening the round table and did so by thanking the hotel sector on the island for its commitment to environmentally conscious policies.

Gloria Juste, Corporate Director of CSR/Sustainability of Palladium Hotel Group, highlighted the importance of having social sustainability initiatives that involve all the work teams and their collaborators, so that social awareness is incorporated into the DNA of the entire hotel chain.
