The HOV bus lane from the airport to Palma, at the level of the Palacio de Congresos, starts on Wednesday 2 November. Its route starts at the airport junction to the entrance to Palma and its aim is to reorganise traffic in order to promote more sustainable mobility. The lane will be reserved for buses and taxis, as well as vehicles with 2 or more occupants to reduce the number of cars on the roads. For this reason, fines for non-compliance can be up to 200 euros.
