The XVIII edition of the Fira del Vi will take place on October 9 and 10 in Can Conill. This location is the main novelty of this 2021, since its parking will be enabled to be able to celebrate the fair in a more open and spacious space. The objective is to maintain the safety distance that the health authorities continue to recommend.

The purpose of the Fira del Vi de Pollença is to promote novelties within the wine sector. In this sense, the meeting between winegrowers serves both to create links between them and to show the public the sensitivity for this product.

An event to “taste and buy wine”

The current edition will feature a total of 34 Mallorcan wineries, three of which are participating for the first time, in addition to the presence of the D.O. Montsant representing 18 wineries, thanks to the twinning of fairs between the Pollença Wine Fair and the Falset Wine Fair.

The president of Vi Primitiu of Pollença pointed out that “it is a fair to go to taste and buy wine. It is very important that people are responsible, since the capacity is limited”. For his part, the Councilor for Trade and Fairs, Miquel Llobeta, added that “the objective is to give a boost to the world of wine, which has also been stopped due to the pandemic, and to give visibility to the sector”. Regarding the image of the promotional poster, it should be noted that the winner of the contest was the artist from Pollença Aina Perelló with an image proposal endowed with great sensitivity.

During the presentation of the event, the mayor of Pollença, Bartomeu Cifre, stressed that “we have been on a stop for a year and a half without doing any kind of fair, and the Wine Fair represents the recovery of these activities”. In addition, Cifre commented that “the fair is very important for the promotion of Pollença. It is a consolidated event that is already on the agenda of all lovers of the world of wine”.

Tickets and schedules Fira del Vi 2021

The price of the ticket will be 15 euros, of which 5 euros will be to buy wine. There will also be a reduced entry for accredited professionals with a price of 10 euros, with 5 euros to buy wine. The hours of attention to the public will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The ticket office will close one hour before. Finally, during the presentation ceremony of this Fira del Vi de Pollença in 2021, the dates of next year’s edition were announced: May 7 and 8, 2022.
