The festivities of Ses Salines 2023 begin on Thursday 17th August with the proclamation of Saint Bartholomew. It will be given by Joana Aina Vidal Burguera and marks the beginning of several days of festivities until the 28th of August. One of the highlights of the Ses Salines festivities is the XXIV Horse Festival, which will be held on Saturday the 26th of August.

Programme of the festivities

Thursday 17th August

11:50. Town Hall. Hanging of the banner “No and that’s final!” For popular fiestas without problems of harassment, abuse and sexual aggression towards women.

12:00. Church bell tower. Hanging of flags and ringing of bells. Start of the festivities of the patron saint.

21:00. San Bartolomé Square. Recognition of sporting and academic merits.

Followed by. Proclamation of Saint Bartholomew by Joana Aina Vidal Burguera.

Pop concert by the Ses Salines Music Band, conducted by Andreu Julià. To finish there will be ice cream and ensaimada for everyone.

Friday 18th August

18:30. Escuelas Viejas. Presentation of the magazine Bocins.

20:00. Local Association Gent Gran. Exhibition “Poètiques de la geometría”. Inauguration of the exhibition and conversation with Horacio Sapere .

Saturday 19 August

9:00. In front of the Town Hall. Great Cycle Tourist March.

18:00. Plaza Mayor. Tardeo Gordo Solidario. Don’t forget 1 kg or litre of food.

20:00. Hanging of the Fiesta del Caballo flag.

Sunday 20 August

19:00. Sports field car park, C/ Se Sementer. Holi Party.

Thursday 24 August

20:00. Church of San Bartolomé. Solemn mass in honour of San Bartolomé.

20:45. La Paz Street. Popular refreshments.

22:00. Plaza Mayor. Theatre play “Boeing, Boeing”.

Friday 25th August

19:30. San Bartolomé Trophy.

21:30. In front of the Town Hall. Night walk.

Saturday 26th August

20:00. Plaza de San Bartolomé. XXIV Festa del Cavall de Ses Salines. The first piccolo will be played in front of the Town Hall, where the procession will begin. At the end of the festival, the party ends with the best music.

Sunday 27th August

19:00. Municipal Sports Field. Women’s match CD Ses Salines VS Manacor.

Monday 28th August

10:30. Municipal sports field. Chopo Park. Inflatable water attractions for the little ones to forget about the heat and have a fun morning.

21:30. Plaza Mayor. Night gymkhana.

The Ses Salines 2023 festivities will bring together visitors and residents of the municipality to enjoy the celebrations in the streets.
