The Bellver Festival 2025 will return this summer with four exceptional concerts taking place between 26 June and 17 July at the Castell de Bellver in Palma. The event will bring together internationally renowned artists, including pianist Denis Kozhukhin, tenor Celso Albelo, baritone Simón Orfila, conductor Leopold Hager and clarinettist Joan Enric Lluna. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased via the Symphony’s website.
This prestigious concert series, organised by the Illes Balears Symphony Orchestra, has become one of the most important cultural events of the summer in the Balearic Islands. Its programme combines top-level music with an unparalleled setting, as the Bellver Castle, a medieval fortress with unique acoustics, becomes an extraordinary stage where history and culture merge.
Programme of the Bellver Festival 2025
- Thursday, 26 June. 9:30pm – 11:00pm. The OSIB will perform the Leonore Overture and Piano Concerto No. 4 by L. V. Beethoven and Symphony No. 4 by R. Schumann, conducted by Pablo Mielgo. On this occasion, the Orchestra will be joined by international pianist Denis Kozhukhin, who will perform the German composer’s work.
- Thursday, 3 July. 9:30pm – 11:30pm. Lyrical Gala by the OSIB featuring soprano Sabrina Gárdez, tenor Celso Albelo, the Petita Simfònica and conductor Pablo Mielgo.
- Thursday, 10 July. 9:30pm – 11:00pm. The OSIB will perform Symphony No. 102 Hob. I/102 by F. J. Haydn and Symphony No. 4 Op. 60 by L. V. Beethoven, conducted by Leopold Hager.
- Thursday, 17 July. 9:30pm – 11:00pm. Tribute to Eduardo Bernabéu. The OSIB will perform the overture from The Marriage of Figaro K. 492 by W. A. Mozart, Clarinet Concerto K. 622 by W. A. Mozart with Joan Enric Lluna, and Symphony No. 5 Op. 64 by P. I. Tchaikovsky, conducted by Pablo Mielgo.
A platform to promote tourism and culture
The Bellver Festival 2025 was presented at ITB Berlin, the world’s most important international tourism fair, at an event organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Balearic Islands. During the presentation, the Government’s Director General of Culture, Ricarda Vicens, highlighted the importance of this event in the archipelago’s cultural and tourism offering. “The Bellver Festival is not only a benchmark cultural event, but also a platform to promote the cultural and tourism offer of our islands, aligned with the Balearic Islands’ commitment to offer unique experiences that combine history, music and the beauty of the landscape,” said Vicens.
