The leader of the Partido Popular and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, yesterday closed the PP rally that took place in Playa de Palma and which was attended by around a thousand people. Feijóo was accompanied by the President of the Govern, Marga Prohens, and the candidate for Congress for the Balearic Islands, José Vicente Marí

The leader of the Partido Popular and candidate for the presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has called on people to vote for the PP in the elections on 23 July “so that Sanchezism comes to an end” and there are no “blocs or blockades”. Feijóo has assured that Sánchez is only looking for a repeat of the elections: “on Sunday we will vote for a blockade or a government”. For Feijóo, the PSOE’s aim is that “in three months’ time the country will still be bogged down and they will have to vote again, as Pedro Sánchez did in 2016”. That is why he has guaranteed that “the PP is the change for Spain”. This was stated by Feijóo, candidate in the upcoming elections on 23 July, at the closing of the rally held yesterday in Playa de Palma.

Feijóo: “I will not be hostage to any party”

“This is what is being voted on Sunday: blockade or government; minority tolls or majority; sanchismo or change. To vote for sanchismo, those who blackmail you or those who block, there are many options and ballots”. “I want to achieve this change and I will not submit the interests of Spain to any minority, partisan or personal interest. I am not going to do it. I will not be held hostage to any party”. These were Feijóo’s words at the PP rally, which was also attended by the President of the Government and the PP of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohens, and the number one candidate for Congress, José Vicente Marí, accompanied by representatives of the party on the islands.

Feijoo had words of praise for Marga Prohens and stressed that he wants investment in the Balearic Islands to return and for there to be education “in freedom, without imposition, as well as the cordial bilingualism” that he practised in Galicia. “I am very proud of my president in the Balearics, a non-sectarian president, and very proud of the Balearics”. In addition, he stressed that the PP has fulfilled its electoral commitment and its first measure has been to approve that from now on inheritance and gift tax will not be paid.
