Mallorca will receive €113.8 million from the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS), commonly known as the ecotax, to fund 33 projects during 2026-2027. The investment will mainly focus on improving water networks, restoring historical and cultural heritage, protecting the environment and upgrading infrastructure and public spaces.

According to figures released by the Consell de Mallorca, the island will receive 63.88% of the geographically allocated funds under the ITS 2026-2027 Annual Plan, excluding island-wide initiatives such as those linked to responsible tourism and efforts to combat unlicensed operators and illegal tourist accommodation. Of the 33 planned projects, seven will be managed by the Consell, while the remaining 26 will be undertaken by local councils in 13 municipalities.
