Còmic Nostrum 2022, the International Comic Festival of Mallorca, will be held in Palma from 20th to 23rd October. It is an event aimed at both professionals and comic fans alike, which provides an opportunity to meet international authors and publishers. There will also be proposals for the general public, with exhibitions, workshops, the Pop Up Còmic Market and more activities.

Exhibitions of the International Comic Strip Festival

Several exhibitions will be inaugurated before the celebration of Còmic Nostrum 2022, organised by the Clúster de Còmic i Nous Mèdia of Mallorca:

  • “AUTSAIDER CÓMICS, 10 YEARS OF VERY BAD COMICS”. Saturday 1 October. El Mirador. Carrer dels Set Cantons, 6. Palma. Until 30th October.
  • “TATÚM. “MUCHOS BESOS”. Friday 14th October. 20:00. Bar Rita. Plaza de Llorenç Bisbal, Batle, 13. Palma. Until December.
  • BERMEJO. “ILLUSTRATING TOLKIEN”. From 13th October. Palma Can Sales public library. Plaza de la Porta de Santa Catalina, 24. On Saturday 15th October there will be a talk by Ricard Valdivielso and Laura Marcus from the Spanish Tolkien Society.
  • “ARCHAIC AUTOMATA”. TOMÂS BARCELÓ & FRANCESC GRIMALT. Wednesday 19 October. 20:00. Official College of Architects of the Balearic Islands. Calle de la Portella, 14. Palma. Until 4 November.

  • 10:00 a 11:45. Children’s character creation workshop by Pau. La Misericordia Cultural Centre. Exclusively for children from the Fundación Patronat Obrer de Palma.
  • 10:00 a 20:00. Pop Up Còmic Market. Courtyard of the La Misericordia Cultural Centre. Comic market, publishers, specific space for selling original drawings by your favourite authors at very attractive prices, handicrafts, self-publishing, bookshops, places…
  • 10:30. Presentation of the book Behind the Mirror of Oesed. A book for Muggles, by Toni Escanellas.
  • 11:15. Meeting with Carlos Azagra and Encarna Revuelta.
  • 12:10. Presentation of Silencio, the new work by Nívola Uyá.
  • 12:50. Presentation of Las Puertas de Mar, an illustrated publication by Puertos de Baleares, by Flavia Gargiulo.
  • 13:30. Presentation of La bibliotecaria de Auschwitz, the debut work by Loreto Aroca.
  • 16:30. Round table of self-publishers, with Toni Batres, Rocío Vidal and Marta Masana (Sextories), Vicent Ferrer (ADN), Guillem March (Mandanga de Guillem) and Pau (Escápula).
  • 17:40. Meeting with André Juillard.
  • 18.20. Cosplay Contest. Organised by Shinigamis de Mallorca. Come dressed up as your favourite comic character. There will be two prize categories: Adult and children (up to twelve years old).
  • 19:45. Prize-giving ceremony.
  • 21:00. Photocall and end of party. Cafeteria Moltabarra. Carrer del Pes de la Farina, 12. Palma. Come and have a drink and pose in our Photocall with your favourite authors.

Sunday 23

  • 11:05. Presentation of La Línea Sin Fronteras by Dolmen editorial. The classics of American press comics.
  • 11:40. Meeting with Aneke.
  • 12:30. Presentation of projects with Bartolomé Seguí (Boomers), Pere Joan (Neocaos), Gonzalo Aeneas and Enric Pujadas (Las olimpiadas del sufrimiento), Flavia Gargiulo (Las Malditas) Tomeu Pinya (Loquis) and Pau (Enemigos).
  • 14:00. Closing of the Còmic Nostrum 2022 Festival in Palma.
