The 32nd edition of the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca has been presented today, a competition that will take place from 25th to 29th January and in which 22 teams and nearly 300 riders from all over the world will take part. During the presentation of this cycling tour of Mallorca, the President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, stressed that “it is a race that helps us to continue being tourist leaders in the low season, showing the world the best that we have, our landscape, our sea, our land of which we are so proud”.

The Challenge Ciclista Mallorca has the support of the Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB) and will be broadcast for the first time live daily on Eurosport, “a fact that positions us very well as a tourist destination on the international scene,” said Francina Armengol.

The 32nd edition of the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca will be made up of five races from which the trophies will be awarded for each race. The races will take place over five days across a large part of the roads of Mallorca.

The competition will begin on Wednesday 25th January with the Calvià trophy, which will run through the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The following day, it will be the turn of the Ses Salines-Alcúdia trophy. On the third day, the Andratx-Mirador de Se Colomer trophy will take place, passing through Alcúdia, Pollença, Sóller, Deià, Banyalbufar, Estellencs and Andratx. On Saturday, the Serra de Tramuntana trophy will be held, through Selva, Pollença, Campanet, Bunyola, Sóller, etc. And on Sunday, the competition will end with the Palma-Platja de Palma trophy.

It should be noted that a total of 800 kilometres will be covered in these races, which will last five days.

During the presentation of the Challenge 2023 vuelta ciclista Mallorca that was held this morning at the Consolat de Mar, also in attendance were the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera; the mayor of Palma, José Hila; the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez; the mayor of Andratx, Estefanía Gonzalvo; the general director of Unisport Consulting, Manuel Hernández, and the managing director of Garden Hoteles, Gabriel Llobera, the latter two, among others, sponsors of the race.
