CaixaForum Palma has unveiled its exciting 2024-2025 exhibition season, featuring a programme that blends classical and contemporary art in various forms and media. This season kicks off with the exhibition ‘XIX. The Century of Portraits’ on 21st November 2024.

During the programme presentation, CaixaForum Palma’s director, Margarita Pérez-Villegas, and the head of Art Exhibitions, Carla Tarruella, highlighted that CaixaForum aims to offer a comprehensive experience for visitors, combining leisure and entertainment. They mentioned that the exhibitions address topics that connect “art and science” in a transversal way, with the aim of providing a diverse and stimulating offer that can generate a “critical spirit” among attendees.

 

XIX. The Century of Portraits: Prado Museum

  • Dates: 21st November 2024 – 2nd March 2025
  • This exhibition offers an in-depth view of portraiture in the 19th century, showcasing works by great masters such as Goya, Sorolla, Madrazo, and Pinazo. The exhibition explores how portraiture reflected the social and economic changes of the era and how it contributed to modernity.

Comics. Dreams and History

  • Dates: 9th April 2025 – 31st August 2025
  • This exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of comics, recognising it as an art form that has evolved to offer powerful narratives about parallel realities, utopias, and dystopias. It includes works by international and Spanish authors.

Zuloaga and Anglada-Camarasa: Two Visions of Modernity

  • Dates: 3rd July 2025 – August 2026
  • This exhibition explores the life and work of two giants of modernism: Ignacio Zuloaga and Hermen Anglada-Camarasa. Through their complementary visions, visitors will gain insight into the creative process of these artists and their influence on modernity.

A Cultural Season of Exhibitions at CaixaForum Palma

CaixaForum Palma, with its multidisciplinary exhibitions, offers visitors an enriching experience that spans from classical art to contemporary visual narratives.
