The Balearic Islands will take part in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) to be held in Madrid from 18 to 22 January with the aim of consolidating the domestic market and raising awareness of the importance of being a fully sustainable and circular destination. This has been reported in a press release by the Ministry of economic model, tourism and work.

The Balearic archipelago, which wishes to highlight the islands’ leadership in the transition towards a new tourism model, will be present at the fair with a 1,000 square metre stand inspired by Posidonia Oceanica, “with a firm commitment to sustainability, both in its materials and in the entire construction process, and which also seeks to be a functional and useful space for all the trade fair activity that takes place there”. The stand will reflect the colours of this characteristic marine plant of the Mediterranean and will highlight the natural, projecting the image of a commitment to sustainability
