The Consell presented yesterday a 200 euro aid voucher for families in Mallorca. A line of aid to which it will allocate 5 million euros and from which, they assure, 25,000 families in Mallorca will be able to benefit. The aim is that they can cope more comfortably with the economic overload caused by the increase in prices and supplies.

Eligibility requirements for the 200 euro grant from the Consell

Among the requirements to be a beneficiary of the 200 euro grant from the Consell are the following:

  • To have legal or effective residence on the island.
  • Have been resident on the island for at least one year.
  • Families in Mallorca with an income of up to 40,531 euros during the 2021 tax year.
  • Only one grant per family nucleus.
  • It is considered a family nucleus:
    • Having a dependent person up to the second degree (child, father and/or mother, grandparent, grandchild or sibling).
    • Having an economically dependent person with a guardianship, permanent foster care or adoption relationship.
    • Two people living together in a marital or stable partnership relationship.

The procedure to apply for the 200 euro grant for families in Mallorca will be online only. The application period will start on Friday 21 October and will end on 11 November through the Electronic Headquarters of the Consell de Mallorca and the IMAS notice board. To be able to ask for it, it is essential to have DNI-e or digital certificate, or to make use of the system Cl@ve. In this way, the Consell de Mallorca aims to make the process easier.

The 200 euro voucher for families of the Consell is compatible with any other aid, subsidy or social income. The IMAS has enabled the website of this link where you can find information on the call for applications. In addition, citizens will be able to call the free telephone number 900 100 444 to answer any doubts related to the procedure.
