The Much de Sineu of 2023 will be held on Monday 7 August. The streets will be filled with pink in what is the XX Mucada, one of the best-known summer festivals in Mallorca. The Much de Sineu is one of the central events in the municipality’s fiesta programme, which runs from the 3rd to the 26th of August. A few weeks ago, Sineu chose this year’s Much and Muca: the couple formed by Biel Passola and Àgueda Milona. They will be the protagonists of this long-awaited celebration.

Much 2023 Sineu programme

Although the organisers warn that the timetable may change slightly, this will be the programme of Much de Sineu 2023:

  • 9:45: Morning concentration in the car park of the IES Sineu.
  • 10:03: Start of the pilgrimage to Puig de Reig. Cars, carts, carriages, bicycles and mobylettes decorated in the purest “rococo mucal style” will head for Puig de Reig, some two kilometres from the village, to invoke the Much and take it to Sineu.
  • 10:49: Ritual invocation of the famous bovine beast, the legendary Much de Reig. Mock battle of Saracens and Christians with rope throws and a mouth full of oil. Tests to select the lucky person to blow the magical horn. The Much’s exit, as usual, will unleash the euphoria of those gathered there.
  • 12:13: Triumphal entry into Sineu of the Much de Reig with the subsequent proclamation in the Town Hall.
  • 12:39: Encèrvol with the bullfights of Sant Mukín. With a specimen of wild deer (cervus monstruosus) courtesy of Marineland.
  • 17:27: Meeting between the Much and the Muca in the Plaça des Fossar. They will be accompanied by their retinue of honour: the Manolos; the Me Man with his warm multidisciplinary show; El Caixer Freddy; the imposing Imperial Eagle of Pollentia, etc. The party will then continue with the music of Pep Trònik and “Much in concert”.
  • 21:01: The XX Mucada bids farewell to the rhythm of the legendary New York, New York.
