The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, together with the councilor of Presidency, Javier de Juan, the councilor of Mobility and Infrastructures, Iván Sevillano, and the insular director of Sociocultural Promotion, Carolina Abad, have participated in the presentation of the 48th edition of the traditional ‘Marxa des Güell a Lluc a peu’, an event that this year can be celebrated without restrictions.

“It is a satisfaction to continue supporting this traditional summer event, which is not only a symbol of Mallorcanism, but it is also to do sport, socialize and enjoy nature in company and celebrate that we return to normality,” said the president. “Moreover, we are presenting this edition, which ends in such an emblematic place as Lluc, on a special day, which marks the eleventh anniversary of the Serra de Tramuntana’s declaration as a UNESCO World Heritage Site,” she said.

In this way, the Consell de Mallorca continues to support, with a contribution of 37,500 euros, the march organized by the Güell Group, which, during the presentation ceremony, expressed its gratitude for the support of the collaborating entities with the presentation of a plaque.

The ‘Marcha des Güell a Lluc a peu’ will be held on August 6. The event was attended by the president of the Güell Group, Francisco Bauzà, the prior of Lluc, Mariano Gastalver, as well as institutional representatives of the Government, the City Council of Palma and the sponsors, such as the Sa Nostra Foundation and Caixabank.
