Their Majesties the Kings and Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofía visited the Ca s’Amitger Interpretation Center to learn about the peculiarities of the Serra de Tramuntana and the Lluc Sanctuary.

The president of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol; the President of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, Vicenç Thomas; the Government delegate in the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, Aina Calvo; The mayor of Escorca, Antoni Solivellas, and the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, among other personalities, received Their Majesties at the Interpretation Center of the Serra de Tramuntana Natural Area, as reported and illustrated by the Royal House, which offered pictures of the visit.

Immediately afterwards, the Kings and their daughters entered the interior of the Ca s’Amitger building to begin a visit to the interpretation center. In it, the ecosystems of the Serra de Tramuntana ethnography are revealed.

After the visit, they went on foot to the Basilica of the Santuario de Lluc, where they were received by the Bishop of Mallorca, Sebastià Taltavull; the prior of the Lluc Sanctuary, Marià Gastalver, and the priest of the Lluc Sanctuary, Antoni Burguera. Next, they entered the interior of the basilica, where the prior of the sanctuary showed them the image of the Virgin of Lluc that presides over the altar.

Subsequently, Don Felipe, Doña Letizia and their daughters signed the golden book of the Sanctuary. Their Majesties the Kings and their daughters, Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Doña Sofía, also passed through the Escorca City Hall, where they signed in the plenary hall, in the honor book, thus ending the activity.
