The Mallorca Hotel Business Federation (FEHM) forecasts Easter hotel occupancy in Mallorca at around 70%, a figure in line with last year’s results and one that confirms the destination’s strength.

Tourists enjoy a boutique hotel in Mallorca.
These forecasts come in an international context marked by geopolitical uncertainty. Even so, the hotel sector underlines the stability of tourist demand for Mallorca, supported by the destination’s strength and positioning in its main source markets.
Tourism stability despite the international context
FEHM insists on the need to act with caution in the face of a changing global scenario, shaped by international conflicts affecting the economy and mobility.
In this regard, FEHM’s executive vice-president, María José Aguiló, points out that the diversification of Mallorca’s tourism product and source markets makes it possible to maintain stable forecasts. However, she notes that the performance of each market will depend on how the international situation develops.
In addition, the sector has expressed concern over rising costs, especially the price of fuel, بسبب its direct impact on transport and product supplies.
Higher hotel opening levels in Mallorca
The hotel opening rate will reach 92% during Easter, two percentage points above last year. This figure reflects the consolidation of the earlier start to the season and a progressive extension of Mallorca’s tourism calendar.
At present, the sector shows a clear trend:
- 20% of hotels remain open all year round.
- In February, 40% of establishments are already open.
- In March, 70% of hotels open, 16 points more than in 2025.
- In April, nine out of ten hotels are operating.
Less seasonality and greater job stability
The extension of the tourist season has direct effects on employment and economic activity. FEHM stresses that this model helps to:
- Reduce labour seasonality
- Increase stability in tourism employment
- Require better planning of public services
Forecasts by tourist area in Mallorca
Forecasts for Easter hotel occupancy in Mallorca point to a positive and fairly even performance across the island’s main tourist areas.
Destinations such as Colònia de Sant Jordi, Alcúdia and Pollença, Sóller, Playa de Palma, Paguera, Palmanova-Magaluf and Playa de Muro are expected to record occupancy levels of between 70% and 75%.
Meanwhile, Palma, where the urban segment predominates, is expected to reach occupancy of around 86%, in line with last year.
Source markets and visitor profile
As for source markets, Germany continues to respond, although at a slower pace. The UK is showing greater momentum in tourism bookings.
Sports tourism also stands out, especially cycling tourism, which continues to gain weight at this time of year.
A solid start to the season in Mallorca
FEHM believes these forecasts confirm a solid start to the season in Mallorca, as well as the consolidation of a more balanced tourism model throughout the year.
