The Government of the Balearic Islands will allocate €6,218,059.92 to eight municipalities to promote sustainable tourism development projects. The actions, financed with Next Generation EU funds, will focus on mobility, accessibility, heritage and land planning. The aim is to strengthen a more resilient and balanced tourism model. The beneficiary municipalities are Binissalem, Banyalbufar, Porreres, Santa Eulària des Riu, Maria de la Salut, Es Castell, Felanitx and Santa Margalida.

The projects in the municipalities are detailed as follows:

  • Binissalem: €191,462.74 to complete the funding of the Can Marc Socio-Tourism Cultural Centre, a key infrastructure for cultural and tourism promotion.
  • Banyalbufar: €5,263.50 to install a public drinking water fountain.
  • Porreres: €587,479.20 to create a civic-cultural axis that will calm traffic and improve public spaces.
  • Santa Eulària des Riu: €1,161,598.79 for the coastal path, improving access to the seafront and restoring the Puig d’en Fita waterfront.
  • Maria de la Salut: €635,418 to purchase a plot next to the Sa Font sports centre and build a car park to improve access to public facilities.
  • Es Castell: €774,847.58 to purchase land and improve the M-2 road, enhancing mobility and road safety.
  • Felanitx: €437,225.78 to purchase a plot in Soler Street and build a public car park to reduce traffic congestion.
  • Santa Margalida: €2,424,764.33 to acquire a property in Santa Eulària for tourism development projects.

All subsidies are paid in advance at 100% and without requiring guarantees. Projects must be implemented before 31 December 2025, with justification due by 23 January 2026.
