Palma Town Hall presents a wide range of exhibitions that transform the city into a true showcase of art. Thanks to their diversity and quality, these exhibitions enrich Palma’s cultural panorama, offering the public a unique experience that highlights the richness and dynamism of contemporary art.

Jaume Plensa transforms La Llotja de Palma into a space of monumental reflection with his exhibition Mirall. He presents two stainless steel sculptures, Invisible Laura and Invisible Rui Rui, which dialogue from their position face to face. These works explore the dualities of existence, such as light and darkness or body and soul, evoking the symbolism of Janus and human connection in a game of introspection and monumentality.

Cecilia Paredes transforms the Casal Solleric into a poetic and multifaceted space. Her exhibition, Un ligero vuelo, combines feathers, cloaks and photography to explore our connections with the origin and the natural environment. Divided into three layers, the show ranges from the telluric to the celestial, highlighting a subtle mythological sculpture of more than two meters and 25 moving flowers that reflect on ecology, change and transcendence.

The exhibition Inter-acciones by Concha Jerez, a key figure in Spanish contemporary art, is on display at the Planta Noble of the Casal Solleric. This exhibition reviews her stage works, which range from public performances to intimate pieces documented in video and photography. The artist addresses issues such as media manipulation, resistance to oblivion and the limits of subjectivity.

The exhibition Quino en la música celebrates the 70th anniversary of the professional debut of Joaquín Lavado, known worldwide as Quino, and the 60th anniversary of the creation of his emblematic Mafalda. It brings together more than one hundred originals that explore the artist’s deep connection with music, one of his greatest passions. Through vignettes that combine comedy, reflection and creativity.

Finally, at Es Baluard Museu, Lluís Vecina Rufiandis explores the layers of history and memory in Felices los hijos de los tiempos intrascendentes. Through an installation that combines biographical elements, archival materials and sound environment, the work juxtaposes key moments in the island of Mallorca’s past, such as the 1936 republican landing in Sa Coma and its transformation into a tourist epicenter in the 1980s.
