The Expanded Literature Festival 2024 of Magaluf (FLEM) returns with an edition that combines the best of literature, music, art, and reflection. This event, which has become a cultural benchmark in Mallorca, will offer a packed programme of activities from 3rd to 6th October 2024, featuring renowned guests and a wide variety of genres and disciplines.

All activities for the 2024 Expanded Literature Festival, except concerts and book signings, require prior registration. The INNSiDE Secret Rooms are open without registration during the hours listed in the programme below.

Thursday 3rd October

  • 19:00 | Opening event with Niño de Elche
    The festival will kick off with a performance by Niño de Elche, one of the most innovative and provocative voices in the Spanish music scene. (Access by invitation).
  • 20:30 | Interview with Elísabet Benavent
    The successful romantic novelist and author of the Valeria series will talk with Margalida Mateu.
  • 22:30 | “Impossible Show” by Elvira Sastre
    Poet and writer Elvira Sastre will present a unique show combining poetry and performance.

Friday 4th October

  • 18:00 | Conversation between Juan Tallón and Javier Gallego
    Journalist Javier Gallego and writer Juan Tallón will discuss their respective careers, moderated by Maria Llull.
  • 18:00 and 20:00 | Guided tour of Magaluf
    Led by Tomeu Canyelles and Biel Vives, this tour will showcase the cultural and social transformation of the area.
  • 18:00 | Juan Tallón and Javier Gallego in conversation. Moderated by Maria Llull
  • 19:00 | Carme Riera and Manuel Vilas in conversation. Moderated by Cati Moyà
  • 20:00 | Moderna de Pueblo and Xavi Daura in conversation. Moderated by Ricardo Moya
  • 20:30 | Screening: ‘Cien libros juntas’ directed by Marga Meliá

Saturday 5th October

  • 10:00 | Guided tour and ecological clean-up at La Marina de Magaluf
    The Red Cross will coordinate an activity where participants can explore this critical area and participate in a clean-up action.
  • 11:00 | Conversation with Luis Costa, Aina Fullana and Laia Viñas. Moderated by Joan Cabot.
  • 12:00 | Interview with Dolly Alderton
    The well-known British writer will be interviewed by Marta Terrasa.
  • 13:00 | Conversation with Eva Baltasar and Remedios Zafra
    Two of the most relevant contemporary authors will discuss their creative processes, moderated by Pilar Rubí.
  • 16:00 | La Sobremesa with Marta Simonet, Carla Nyman, Juan Tallón and Flavita Banana
  • 17:00 | Interview with Sheena Patel
    The British author will talk with Marta Pérez about her latest works.
  • 18:00 | Conversation with Pol Gise, Carlota Santos and Emilio del Río. Moderated by Pep Campillo.
  • 19:00 | Poetry recital by Pink Chadora
    A recital that promises to be one of the festival’s most intense moments.
  • 20:30 | Concert by Saoko
    Music will also feature, with a performance by Saoko, bringing rhythm to Saturday night.
  • 22:30 | Quadernit Quiz Show
    A fun literary quiz hosted by Daniel López Valle and Cristóbal Fortúnez.

Sunday 6th October

  • 11:00 | Conversation with Maria Hesse, Alfonso Casas and Carmen Romero
  • 11:30 | Poetry recital with Marina de Cabo
  • 12:00 | Conversation between Veronica Raimo and Lucia Pietrelli
    Moderated by Noelia Ramírez and Begoña Gómez, these authors will discuss their work and worldview.
  • 13:00 | Interview with Carmen Mola
    The Spanish writer and winner of the Premio Planeta will be interviewed by Daniel Sánchez, in one of the festival’s most anticipated talks.

Expanded Literature Festival: Secret Rooms and Sonidero Mandril

During the festival, sessions will also be offered in the Secret Rooms with the Sonidero Mandril collective and Som Vinils records, active between 11:00 and 14:00, and from 18:00 to 21:00.
