‘Everything Everywhere all at Once’, directed by Dainel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, sweeps the Oscars gala with seven statuettes. Brendan Fraser caps off his story of overcoming the odds by winning Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in ‘The Whale’

The multiverse film ‘Everything Everywhere all at Once’ swept the board at the 95th Oscars with seven statuettes, including Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Best Picture, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, becoming only the second non-white actress to win this award after Halle Berry, and the awards for Editing, Original Screenplay and Supporting Actress for Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The Oscars were held on Sunday 12 March at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosting the gala.

Edward Berger’s German film ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ won the Oscar for Best International Film, winning four statuettes. In this category it was competing with Santiago Mitre’s Argentina, 1985. Mexican director ‘Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio’ won Best Animated Film, while the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role went to Brendan Fraser for his role in ‘The Whale’.
