The Mostra de Cinema de Muntanya de Palma 2023 returns with 14 documentaries, a play and different conferences: film proposals related to the mountain will be screened in five venues in Mallorca until October 25
The 14th edition of the Mostra de Cinema de Muntanya de Palma 2023 kicks off: 10 days of many cinematographic proposals related to the mountain, both for the sports-loving public and also for the public looking for other approaches to this world. The festival will be held from October 16 to 25 and will screen a total of 14 documentaries, a play and different conferences and colloquiums in five venues: the Teatre Principal de Palma, Cine Ciutat, the Teatre Municipal Xesc Forteza, the Club Pollença and the Librería La Salina.
In addition, the director of the Mostra de Cinema de Muntanya de Palma, Bartomeu Tomàs, celebrates that, for the first time, activities are programmed outside Palma and a line of collaboration with the Menorca Doc Fest is launched. Also among the novelties, highlights the approach to literature; the analysis of the current situation between communication, journalism and the mountain and the audience award, which will distribute 500 euros in the competitive section. Documentaries from Great Britain, Canada, France, Denmark, the United States, Bulgaria, Iran and Iraq, among others, will participate.
As every edition, the Mostra de Cinema de Muntanya 2023 will have guests who will share their passion, experiences and reflections with the most curious attendees, such as Miquel Rayó, writer and teacher; Kris Annapurna, mountain journalist; Juan Miguel Ponce, photographer and publicist, and Eduard Moyà, doctor in literature, translator and English language teacher.
