Fira Nàutica i Gastronòmica de la Sípia will take place in Port d’Alcúdia on the 14th, 15th and 16th of April
The popular nautical and gastronomic fair of Alcúdia, which revolves around the different preparations of cuttlefish and combines nautical sport and first-class gastronomy, is back for another year. The Fira Nàutica i Gastronòmica de la Sípia is an opportunity to discover the creativity of local chefs and see how they make use of cuttlefish in each of their dishes. More than 48 restaurants will collaborate in this edition, so the presence of Alcúdia’s establishments will be more present than ever.
At the fair, visitors will be able to try the wide variety of dishes made with cuttlefish, such as grilled cuttlefish, stuffed cuttlefish and black rice with cuttlefish, among others, prepared by the collaborating establishments. The cuttlefish is a cephalopod that can be found in the Mediterranean and is highly prized for its tender and tasty meat.
Children’s activities and musical performances
The Fira Nàutica i Gastronòmica de la Sípia is a unique opportunity to enjoy Alcúdia and its surroundings, as the fair has an area near the sea dedicated to products and companies from the nautical sector. It is an opportunity for sailing enthusiasts to enjoy the nautical offer of the area, with boat exhibitions and nautical activities. The fair also includes activities for children, such as workshops and games related to marine life and sailing, as well as musical performances with a markedly Mediterranean character.
On Saturday night, Cirko and DJ Rocamir will provide the soundtrack to the evening. Students from the town’s schools will also be able to participate by exhibiting their best culinary and handicraft samples throughout the weekend.
In addition, other typical Mallorcan dishes and drinks can also be sampled, such as bread with oil, sausages, local wine and traditional sweets. The fair is the perfect opportunity for food lovers to try a wide variety of local dishes and discover new flavours.
